NYC for parents

This is very exciting...my parents will arrive in New York next Friday!!! I am very happy of showing them around and have them here for two weeks. I am very curious about their reaction in front of the big apple: my mum and dad love to travel but never travelled outside of Europe, it will be a lot of fun to see how they feel about NY and the lifestyle here. I have some ideas about where to go with them but would love to have some suggestions from you!!! tell me about your favourite places in the city and places where you can have beautiful views....

Wow, you must be so happy to have your parents. I actually have the same concern right now since my parents arrive New York in about 3 weeks. So, let's share ideas! I'm thinking about boarding a ferry such as Circle Line. It would be a great way to take a look at the spectacular Manhattan view from outside. Also, one of my favorite spots in NY is the roof garden at Met Museum. You can have a beatiful view of Central Park as well as the city while taking a sip of a glass of cocktail or drink. (No additional admission to access once you get in the museum.)

You are exciting to see your parents.
My recommendation in NYC with good views are following;

Central Park
Good walks in weekend afternoon if the weather is warm.
Strawberry Fields(entrance from 72nd st.), Bethesd terrace (between 72nd east-west in the park), Mall(66th-70th), Conservatory water(72nd east side),&
Conservatory Garden(105th of fifth Avenue). Have to walk a lot, but these are free.

The observatory dicks of Empire State Building 86th floor & 105th floor. (I don't know the price of admission and waiting time).
It is impressed view if you go in fine clear day.

Staten Island Ferry
Free from Battery Park to St. Goerge,Staten Island and it takes about 30 minutes each way. You can see the views of Lower Manhattan and Liberty Island. Staten Island is not interesting for sight seeing, so you return to Manhattan soon. I suggest that you ride in sunset.

Frick Collection
70th Street between Fifth & Madison.
Private collection of Mr. Henry Frick. This building was belong to the Mr. Frick and Built in early twentieth century in french and English manner.
If your parents are interested in old master paintings and interiors decorations they can visit Frick collection. $ 15 admission, but Sunday 11am-1pm you can pay whatever you like. Closed on Monday.

Enjoy!!
